For the modified import people, including Jonathon. I hope you guys have upgraded your brakes inline with the increase in power. Have seen way too many people seriously modified their car but still stick with standard pissy breaks.

Eventually i would like a mazda rx2 or rx3 with a 13b turbo'd in it, although i know it will break down and suck fuel like crazy.
another car i would like is the HT monaro, i think they are the peak of holden's style.

for now i have a fully sick 2.4litre stock dual cab hilux
its good for getting around and not bad on fuel.

in the past i had a extended wheelbase commodore ute, 3.8litre.
it ripped hectic skids since i rarely had anything in the tray, but was a mess when it rained, snails pace required during the wet.

had a v8 commodore given to me by dads friend as a get around for awhile, but i didnt like the super duper heavy clutch, was way too much effort(and chewed fuel like crazy)
and some old datsun ute also, wasnt a 1200 or i would have done it up.

I like the mini, the interior looks great all except for the speaker in the middle of the passenger side.

            Thanks yotis,
it certainly had a lot of charm- built like a tank too. It was hard to get rid of, took me a few years of umming and ahhing, and I had to fall in love with and buy another first before I could ditch the old girl but in the end it was great to move on to something else. She was an old girl and had many issues- brakes high up on the list (despite all the work to them, they were still old drums and a lot of care had to be taken). Ended up selling it for $500 more dollars than I had sunk into in the last 6 months, but that is often the way.

There are a few good investment old cars still available, thankfully my current one is one of these. All the old diesel 40 series like mine are all being shipped to the states, whole and or in parts- good ones are becoming increasingly hard to find. Their 4x4 diesel market is basically non-existent so they love them over there and pay top dollar for them. There is no way I will be selling mine for less or even close to what I bought it for.

And yeah, brakes. I hear you. Not high up on the list of mods/improvements most people want to do, but probably the most important.

The speaker is on the left, if the passenger is looking straight ahead it will be on the left. It looks like its in the middle because of the picture

The SVD skylines came with pretty good brakes to start with.
They still pull it up pretty damn well

Hot mini. Is the evo yours too?

This is my little beast. Only had it a month or so.

Took it through some easy stuff last weekend. Looking forward to getting it dirty (and most likely stuck) over easter in/around inskip/great sandy NP. It badly needs tyres, maybe some lift down the line. It's never going to be the most nuts fourbie (IFS will make sure of that), but hopefully it'll get me to some nice campsites.
