    Default Croaking gouramis

has anyone bred these? I have a nest of fry but am unsure whether to leave the parents in with them. Can they be trusted?

Have you checked out Foo the Flowerhorn on Youtube? He has some mesmerising videos documenting his Sparkling Gouramis, which is one of three species of Croaking Gouramis. There are plenty of footages of them breeding in his tank for a couple of generations at least so hopefully that'll help you.

I think the issue with raising these fry is less about removing the parents and more about getting them eating. I personally wouldn't worry about the parents unless you have lots of adults in a smallish, slightly barren tank.

Shaggy_, I think you are right. I think I kind of washed the fry away with Hikari first bites. These bubblenests certainly don't like a current. I might just sit tight and be patient a bit longer if they decide to spawn again.
