Thread: Can't post photos anymore

    Question Can't post photos anymore

    Hi guys,

I can't seem to be able to paste photos anymore.

I have recently upgraded to a platinum member. Now I have two options when I click on the add photo button.

But neither add file directly nor adding URL seemed to work.

If I upload directly, I get a message saying failed to upload.

If I use the URL option, nothing happens at all.

Has anyone else had this problem before?

    Thanks

    Hi Graeme,

    Thanks for looking into this.

It is weird that I cannot upload any of my old photos anymore. Has there been a recent change to limit photo sizes?

I tried some smaller photos off the internet and only when I get it to really tiny sizes then I'm able to see my photos.

I even tried copying photos from other people's posts and yet the same photo wouldn't upload on my test thread.

I haven't have had this issue before I upgraded my account - could there be a link?

I am almost 100% certain that no changes have been made.
The photo I put up was 75kb so pretty small .
Other peoples photos are possibly hosted not on aquariumlife .

    regards
    Graeme

Ok I think I have worked it out.

Upon upgrading the membership, I can no longer upload photos using the URL method period.

For the local upload method, there is an image size threshold of ~2MB.

    Thanks for your investigation Graeme.
