    Default Kessil 160WE tuna sun

    Hey guys,

Has anyone had success with red plants with these lights? I have lidwigia glandulosar
Rotala colorata and reneckii in the tank but the reds donít seem to be popping and the rotala is still green. I run for about 10 hours with 5 hours at highest intensity.

Bear in mind that keeping plants red is a tricky subject. Light is only part of the equation. If you want intense reds, one of the strategies is to increase light intensity.

In saying that, spectrum also plays a role. Some believe that reds are enhanced when the light has blue and red spectrums represented. Can you increase that in the Kessil using the controller?

I've never used a Kessil because they look so yellow (and they cost far too much for what you get) to my eyes and I don't like the yellow look at all.

CO2 and high Iron levels are also recommended for red plants.
