I never found them for very cheap personally so I started to go with alternatives like Oak Leaves, etc. See if you can source these instead? They are similar in properties. Loquat leaves too, they last the longest from the few different leaves ive tried

I dont need heaps. I only want maybe a single leaf in the tank at a time. If they are large i would just use a piece at a time.

I have been looking around my local area however I am crap at identifying trees.

I had an old forum member send me a bag full once as they had IAL trees in their yard !!! I gave them away when I stopped keeping shrimp years ago but which I had kept them now !!!!
    Whatever

See whether any one in NT has a tree....

I so want to grow one in Canberra (green house) but probably would be after I try Mango and other crazy difficult varieties first.

I'm also keen for a bulk source of IAL
I use oak and banana leaves but my shrimp seem to prefer IAL (spoilt!)

How do you use banana leaves? Do you need to boil em first?

Also try Mulberry. Might be cheaper than IAL and grows very easily. I have a plant inside the house.

For banana leaves I wait until they are dry then give them a decent boil, they are thick so tend to take a bit longer to cook. So far banana are probably my shrimp's least favourite leaf.

I have a Mulberry tree growing but I've only had it a couple months so its too early to take leaves - mulberry would be the most popular leaf I have tried so far.

I've also bought mine from bettawan, no issues at all.

My shrimps like banana leaves, guava leaves and mango leaves. Their favourite seems to be banana
