Indeed! The sump will play an integral part of the filtration... 10 liters of siporax will go in there soon.

Looking good. Hopefully AR will give you some filter media to get you started fast.

With that sump and huge pump, this tank will have plenty of O2!!

Love your work my good sir.

I expect that you kept your CO2 from the last escapades. You will need a moderate dose for a tank this size ie 324L excluding sump.

Tank and sump with coast to coast overflow and sump at operation level is around the 300l number.
Got 15 liters of top up water in front of the sump on auto top up. All can handle power failure without risk of spilling over the sump in any conditions. So I guess that leaves a week and a day before I need to top up the reservoir... would like to show you more of the system as the water gets topped up.... using RODI to fill it.
Big difference in buffering capacity / KH with tap and RO gonna play chaos if I donít add buffer.

Since you have back on the light side, hope you have the Lazylife water changer (or similar). It makes water changes enjoyable because most of the time I am just sipping tea or coffee....

The Lazylife is a great idea.
I have the attachment to fill the tank from the kitchen sink tap in my collection of widgets.
Just need to get a coil of hose.

What are your thoughts about RODI water and adding a mineral formula to get fresh tank water to specific parameters?

You can certainly do RODI with remineralisation. In sydney however, direct tap is fine and will make water changes a breeze. Just add a bit of gH up and that should be more than enough. My tanks in Sydney didnt even get any gH up.
