Indeed! The sump will play an integral part of the filtration... 10 liters of siporax will go in there soon.

Looking good. Hopefully AR will give you some filter media to get you started fast.

With that sump and huge pump, this tank will have plenty of O2!!

Looking really good. You speak good Dutch my friend!

This tank won't be simple for trimming and maintenance though. Thanks goodness that you like to keep ya sleeves wet.

There are a couple of clashes with the planting.
Going Dutch is the end goal, the rules of Dutch are tough to adhere to. There is currently a hint of Dutch flavour in the scape, eventually I’ll need to half the plants species to get closer to Dutch style.

Easy life water change (cheers @Rebel) and left side trim, got to give them space as the algea is quick to take over where there is no flow.

    First Trim Shot
    Really enjoyed that!
Silly fighters found each other, made nest, laid eggs.
Gees !!! Only had them 3 days !!!! Not impressed !
This is great! Balanced out the left and let the right flow.

Hey Slin no need to follow the 11-13 rule for Dutch I reckon. If you can make it look good thats all that matter.

I’m enjoying the tank none the less. Still got me intrigued! Like how I removed a take away container and did not make a real dent into the picture.

Will have to do a tank walk through at some stage.. you are close with your estimate, tank is 900 x 600 x 480 .
So pulled out the CO2 diffuser (making too much noise, sounded like crickets chirping) stuck it in the John Guest port on the return pump horizontal pipe. Lots of back pressure from the Eheim but seems to work a treat. The beetle bubble counter is still going nuts. 6-10 bubbles a second
