Default Beach driftwood in freshwater tank?

I found a few nice pieces of wood on the beach and was planning on soaking them for a few days then a quick boiling water rinse. i

Anything else I should worry about? I assume that any nasties would be salty nasties anyway and of no concern.
    Whatever

Soak and boil should be fine, can't imagine anything would survive the wood being boiled.

I have used plenty of driftwood that I have found along the coast. Some pieces I didn't even bother boiling them

Agree - I'd just toss it in. Salt water and sun drying are two marvellous sterilisers.

I'd still boil it. My dog loves peeing on drift wood at the beach...
