    Default Photobucket

    Hi All,

Those that use Photobucket will likely find that their posts no longer show their photos but place markers saying 3rd party hosting has been temporarily disabled. They changed their terms of condition recently and are slowly disabling users' image links.

Maybe a change in direction for them...downward spiral; 6 feet under?

I use Imgur and have found it to be pretty good, never tried Flickr. Imgur has gone the opposite way as you used to have to pay for unlimited uploads but you don't anymore.

What the hell! That is insane.

Time to look for another service.

I got an email from them about this 3rd party hosting - Found it in my spam folder

The # of ads on photobucket have increased dramatically lately. Looks like they're only in it for the money now.

Thanks for the ride and free services, PB. Time to switch.

Flickr is good and free, cant see why you would use anything else, so easy to share and no file size restrictions.

Actually really upset now... just realised a lot of old threads have lost photos that i have been following on this site that inspired me to get into planted tanks

Damn... wish i had saved them now

Pretty pissed off this has happened. Just went through an older thread of mine where i was using Photobucket and it is messed up.
Taking the time to go through what photo's need to be ported to Flickr and then re-posted will be a complete pain.

Ok so my thoughts are that someone should write a script to download everything from photobucket and automigrate to flickr.....

Perhaps we need to ask this fellow...

My suggestion is to download all your photos and close the account.

OK so I am trying to download my stuff. The page has 35 adverts and won't load fully for me to complete my download....

I have a bad feeling about this one.

Yep you and 65,000 other people trying at the same time....

Luckily i have backups of all my photo's on computers/hard drives so getting it to Flickr is not a problem. Working out what photo needs to be replaced when you cant see them on the thread is going to be a pain.
