    Default Plant identification

    Hello,

I just bought some new plants the other day, but as they were sold as "mixed plants", I'm just wondering if anyone could tell me what they are?
They were sold as individual plants (not bunch), but I've separated them out a bit (there was more than one plant in the little plastic pot they came in). Hopefully they are genuine water plants and not just sold as water plants. If not, they were fairly cheap so it doesn't matter too much. They were the only type of plants I could get really.

    Thank-you!
    Katherine

    Hiya Katherine,

    #1 - Unsure
    #2 - Bacopa monnieri
#3 - needs to go in a pot outside.

For your tank, look at Java fern, Crypts, or Anubias. Don't buy 'mixed plants'....

    Hi Rebel,

Lol - I thought you'd say that about #3. At least it looks good (for now).

Those are the exact plants I was looking for, but I couldn't find them. I went to all three pet shops/aquarium supply shops near me, but they didn't have any of them. I'm in the country so it wasn't that surprising.

I might have to resort to buying plants online.

    Thank-you!

Number 1 is suspicious for an alternanthera species. I doubt it would grow but I am curious.

also easy stuff include hygrophila polysperma and difformis. Duckweed and frogbit are good floaters.

I'll let you know how the plant goes.

Thanks for the recommendations too, and thanks for your message too! I sent you a reply :-)
