About 100x better than any fake background I've seen for sale.

Wow this looks amazing! For fauna, have you thought of making it a kuhli species only tank? Maybe even B.brigittae?

Just about finished the scaping, need to add a few more rocks and build up the lower land section so it slopes up to the higher area. Have brushed a moss mix on the rocks so hopefully it will start greening up in the next few weeks. Decided to include Anubis as well and make it an aquatic aroid tank. Should go well with the buce and crypts. Still undecided on fish species, have looked at kuhlis but want something darting around too...

Are you making a fog/rain system?

Looks amazing. Not really Borneo specific fish, but something like that is begging for some splashing tetras.
    I'll try anything twice.

@nano, yep will be installing misting system on the tank

Cheers rebel, can't wait to get the rest of the plants in and finish the hardscape.

@dollarpots, splashing tetras would be great, I'm moving away from Borneo specific. Some larger anybias on the waters edge would be good for them.

@edgar, will do a front on fts when it's all finished, hopefully after this weekend. Still need to cut the lids to size and order an led for it, just using some aquarium lights I found in the spares bin in the fish room for now.
    Cheers,
    Matt

This is quite inspiring. Never seen anything like it and the progress shots are amazing. Makes me want to start a project of my own. This looks very much like it's worth the effort and time put into it. Well done mate

Went up to the farm today and got the last basalt rocks I needed and some more rainforest creepers. Land section is now built up to where I wanted it. Also grabbed a bag of leaf litter from the creek and put it in, really happy with the result. Now just waiting for the lighting and mister and get my buce in.

Crypts growing through the leaf litter

Absolutely stunning. A real slice of nature.

So this one is in the bedroom... how do you go with splashing noise from waterfalls?

With the lid on there and pump on full is a bit of a trickle but not loud enough to be a nuisance. I can turn the pump right down and can't hear anything.
