Default New tank purchase - Riparium build underway

    Hi there,

I've recently purchased a rather large fish tank, i'm yet to have it delivered but i'm very excited to recreate the kind of setup i had in my 4x2x2 about 2 years ago...

heres some photos of my old tank which was teeming with shrimps, snails, blackworms and any other kind of small life form i could find (cyclops etc)

my new tank has a 2.15mx0.9m base and is 0.75m high so its gonna be a super mega fishtank go happy time

i hope to once again have a huge tank teeming with small organisms, in terms of fish i would like ottos (but if i can't sustain the algea required i will just get bn's) and perhaps endlers guppies or small rainbows as dithers and a pair or trio of dwarf cichlid. the reason for keeping the top predator levels low is to sustain populations of other things

i will update the thread with progresss

    Joel.

That is one huge tank for little critters.

May I tempt you to chuck some red/white CRS in there. It would look like Christmas!!!

i'd be very happy to put some CRS in there, i will mainly be stocking with cherrys and glass shrimp

at the moment i'm tossing up weather to go all out on a good LED light or a diy twin fluro t8 build.
