I have recently been setting up an outdoors aquaponic setup using my x2 spare 4ft and x1 6ft. Is in its early stages and is currently still in design.
I wanted to first try a smaller set up hung on the back of my river tank. Have attached diagram below.

Will be a flood drain system using a sump to keep aquarium level constant. Water will run from sump to tank causing aquarium water to flood grow bed. Water will then raise to fill grow bed and bell siphon will drain when reached acquired volume. Water then flows back into sump. Pump in sump will be set to run ever 15 min approx, giving grow bed time to drain and dry slightly.

Would love some feed back on this setup and any recommended changes. This set up only real way i could work out to keep aquarium level constant.

Cheers guys.
