Well guys as there are only 3 entries perhaps we could have an update picture if there are any changes in your tanks, we would like to see them - of course no worries if there isn't as the time frame still stands just thought I would like to see out of interest.

    Hi there,

Well i could have done with two more weeks of growth and I would have been happy! I ended with quite a big melting off with the HC, put down to a combo of ammonia from the new soil and different conditions the Hc was in, early last week saw the HC recovering well and the growth since then has been great! I have tried to take the photo from the same angle as before so you can see the growth.

    FTS

I've realised now that in future for a month long comp it is definatly a better option to start with a fully scaped and grown tank from the start and then just worry about keeping it alive rather than to try to grow from scratch!!! I never realised how short a month is!!!

Anyway, I enjoyed it and its a good excuse to have another little tank set-up. I'm now in the process of making a mini-nano canister filter for 15cm cubes so I can put a couple of shrimp in there as surprisingly my wife likes this tank and I am alloweed to keep it!

    All the best

    Dave

    Hey guys!

Just got home from work and was planning on uploading the new photos but unfortunately my PC won't boot..
All fans are spinning, drives are lit up but I get no beep and no booting action. :-(

So, I guess, all there's left to say is... Congratulations Dave. Well done!

    Thanks guys!

I handed the computer in to get repaired, this morning.
Looks like a power surge wrecked my PSU. I'm not sure how long they'll take to fix it..

    LOL

Well its a pity that littlebristlenose and plantnut have not added their final pics. But having said that congratulations must go to surfydave for a very interesting scape. Perhaps you would like to share more info on how you acheived the rows and time taken to build as well.

Also please select your prize and let me know!

Well Done Dave,i got busy and forgot the date.
Thats why my wife says to write dates and times in my diary.

My tank got some growth on the plants but not a result worth a prize.

Dave's tank kind of reminds me of a rice paddy on a mountain side.
