I'm so excited! My Blue Rams have spawned and the fry have been swimming now for 2 days, in my planted community tank!

I have uploaded a video to UTube, taken yesterday on their first day of swimming.

I just showed the brat child and she laughed her head off at the babies being put back into the nursery. Nice Rams and WTG with the fry :)

This was their third try. In The first they ate the egss, in the second the eggs were infertile, and this is the third. However it has also now also failed. They managed to keep the fry for 2 days, and then seems to get tired. The fry were getting more dispersed, and the parents were being being bothered by the other fish in the tank. They were constantly chasing the others away and seemed to just run out of energy. Particularly the male simply stopped chasing - he put his head in a corner. The female kept trying for a few more hours, but eventually there were no fry left. It is possible they have disappeared into the moss or other plants. If we get a surprise return of a small fish or two we will be delighted but I think the chances are low. For the next spawning I think we will remove them or the eggs. We are still working on how we will do that.
