have you ever turned your aquarium lights on in the middle of the night and seen the colour of your fish? talk about psychadelic!

Yeah my barbs are almost transparent when I switch the lights on.
They all seem to just hover about.

YES! Well the cardinals are almost transparent - no colour at all. The clouds and Angels are the same.

The thing that really blew me off my chair however was not the fish but the SNAILS! I thought I had most of them, maybe 10 or so... nope! Just about 70% of the tank was shoulder to shoulder! I then spent the next 20min pulling them out by the hundreds.

most of my fish fade out at night actually. the first time i got into this hobby 1 year and 3 days ago, i got really freaked out that they did this and thought they were sick hehe. damn cardinal and rummys... ;)

The colours on my rainbows are amazing when you do that, especially the bosemani!!

The one time I switched the lights on at night my M.lacustris were pretty much black! The darkest royal blue you could imagine.
