Does anyone know where to buy water barrels/drums (around 200L) in Sydney?
I want to use them to age water for tank water changes, so they need to be made of a material that wont leach into the water.

Thanks Matt.

I'll probably grab that first ebay listing, I couldnt see that when I did an initial ebay search. The second one was previously used to hold detergent... wouldnt want to use that.

I am thinking of a water tank from Bunnings.
Its 500L for $129

Just looks like a huge bucket ( without the handle of course :-)) )

I saw those ones at Bunnings, way too big.
2 x 200L barrels would work well. Use one to age/condition water and the other for recycling the water that's changed.

Where abouts do you live?

Near kellyville there is a house with a heap of 200L barrels out the front for $20 each. They are unwashed though, and used to house onions in vinegar or something

Im in Pennant Hills, Kellyville is not too far away.

Whats the best way to clean these barrels?

I scrubbed them using plain bleach then thoroughly rinsed and then filled them up with water and put some prime in, and left them outisde for a few days, then drained.

The place is in smithfield I think, which is near Kellyville Ridge. You go down Windsor rd, past the ettamogah pub and then turn left down the next rd. I'll try and find proper directions

Yep, Smithfield.

He is on Schofields Rd. Coming from Windsor Rd, he is just past the T junction with Hambledon Rd.

There is a heap of different barrels outside the place. Its just a normal house with lots of barrels.
